Love & Grace. Two words that describe God… and the church. We have an amazing opportunity to be God’s grace and love to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. Through the “Embrace Grace” Bible study, we will walk alongside these ladies pouring into them who God is and how very much He cares. Pointing the mamma’s heart toward God, points future generations toward God!
Our prayer: That girls’ lives will be transformed, chains will be broken, and the girls God sends us will walk out in the freedom to be the moms and daughters of God they were created to be!
Vision: For every girl with an unplanned pregnancy to have a church to go to for spiritual, emotional and physical support.
Mission: To inspire and equip the church to love on single and pregnant girls.
When members of a loving community embrace,
the hardest days are easier and no one feels alone.
the hardest days are easier and no one feels alone.
(1 Thessalonians 5:28 The Voice)
Bible Study: Led by Nicole Yoder, this Bible study was written by the creators of Embrace Grace and specifically designed for single ladies facing an unplanned pregnancy (known by the program as "Blooms"). It is a judgement free environment where the Blooms come to experience God's grace and love as they are immersed in His truth.
Testimony Night: A chance for the Blooms to be encouraged and inspired by real stories of those of you who have not only walked a similar path but who have been victorious because of God’s grace. It may be that you have had a teen pregnancy, were pregnant and single, given your baby up for adoption, experienced a miscarriage, or had an abortion and have received God’s grace and healing. Your story will give hope to these girls who desperately need it!!!
Chains Night: Freedom! The girls will first write down their invisible chains in detail. Then a heavy chain will be laid across their lap as they explain what they wrote down, the things holding her back and weighing her down. We will pray over her with expectation that God will show up and break her chains. Each Bloom will receive a bracelet as a reminder that God has freed her from her chains. She is no longer bound by them!
Princess Day: A surprise day of pampering for the Blooms. Hair, make-up, facials, the works complete with ministry time all wrapped up with a fancy dinner. As they stand in front of a full length mirror they will be crowned with their very own tiara. As they look in that mirror they will see themselves how God sees them, as His princess. They will see how God is transforming them from where they were that very first night, to where they are right then and there, and reminding them of the future God has for them!
Baby Shower: The day the Blooms get to see just how much God loves them! The church will love on them by not only planning the shower but by also buying them all of their gifts. Each gift they open will remind them that the church REALLY does love them. Your donated gift will reach far beyond its purpose and leave a lasting imprint on every precious girl’s heart! An imprint of God’s amazing love and grace!
Celebration of Life Shower: This also is a day where the church gets to show the Blooms how much God loves them. This shower is for the Blooms who have chosen to give up their baby for adoption. We are celebrating the fact that they chose life and blessed another family with the gift of their baby. The types of gifts purchased will be things that the Bloom enjoys or is passionate about. She is ready for a fresh start. Your gift will remind her God has a beautiful plan for her life!
Facebook: We will have a private Facebook page for current Blooms and eventually alumni Blooms. This is where the Blooms can get encourage from us and can also give encouragement to each other. Once we grow as a ministry alumni Blooms can then pass on their stories to encourage current Blooms.
From donations to decorations to planning the baby shower to helping with the day of pampering there is a place for you to serve. By playing your part you will have a hand in changing the legacy of these girls’ lives! For more information, please email: EmbraceGrace@westridge.cc
